Kurio wins Communication Agency of the Year


Kurio wins Communication Agency of the Year at the Finnish Comms Awards. Kurios #ZeroExclusion-project was awarded the Communications Deed of the Year. #ZeroExclusion also won in the category Event, Launch or Stunner of the Year. Fazer’s TikTok Toolkit won in the Tarde and Services category.

“For us recognition is a sign of successful work over some time. We set out to build a new type of agency and now it feels like we have really accomplished that.” Kurio’s CEO Tommi Opas sums up.

The jury’s motivation for this year’s Agency of the Year Award: “Kurio is a creative agency with a vision, and they have been a pioneer in their field. The agency has gotten international recognition and has won several industry awards internationally. Their clients thank them for their bubbling creativity as well as unforgettable brand actions – both the ideas and the execution. The agency breaks the traditional boundaries set for marketing and communications agencies.

This year’s Communications Deed #ZeroExclusion plows the way for a new type of B2B marketing. The judges stated that the strict, concrete targets of scale were aligned with the client’s business targets. The idea, that came with a bold brand promise was demonstrated in an impressive way in an internationally competitive scene. Marketing a heavy-duty industrial machine to express art was surprising and refreshing, and above all a brave move.

The Tutti Frutti TikTok campaign that was planned and executed for Fazer Confectionaries was, according to the judges, a perfect example of how to combine a niche product, with niche way of doing things and a niche media, and the combined power a mix like that has.

Finnish Comms Awards is a competition that awards teamwork, and the team consisting of the responsible agency, the client and partners. At the center stands supporting the client’s goals with impressive communications expertise or solving a problem together. The competition celebrates work that has been accomplished with the communications partner and has added value the to the client through collaboration, together with the expertise and effectiveness in reaching the business goals.
